Tuesday Night at Reid Park

After a long shutdown, practice will resume on August 18th at 7:00PM.

On most Tuesday nights at Reid Park, there is an informal practice with non-contact equipment. This practice is open only to SSAC members. Steve Brault will either set a course or specific exercises to work on. You may also contact him ahead of time if you have something specific you would like to practice. Setup is at 6:30pm in the winter, 7:00pm in the summer. Use the closest West entrance to 22nd Street off of Country Club to park and for the field. There is lots of field lighting.

Private Trainers

Some of our members provide dog training privately in all manner of disciplines.

Flying Fur agility – morene brown

Agility instruction, Beginners thru Advanced classes, and classes specializing in Distance training. Fully fenced training site located in NE Tucson near River & Craycroft. Private lessons available by request.

Jump by Jump Agility Training – Denise Evans

Uses positive techniques and clicker training that is fun for the dog and handler. Agility training covers Foundation through Competition levels. Both group and private lessons are available. Located on the NW side, Ina and Silverbell area.

Ruff House – Crystal Blaker

Offers Puppy Socialization Classes for puppies 8 weeks to 6 months. These classes provide an introduction to basic commands, socialization with other puppies as well as behavioral topics discussed each week. Basic Obedience Classes are offered for dogs 6 months and up. These classes provide basic command training while adding more distractions, duration and distance to training. Behavioral topics are also discussed each week. Private training is also available with Ruff House at your home or at a specific location to work on specific issues like distraction training, teaching engagement, fear in new areas, barking and lunging at dogs and/or people when on leash and much more. Group classes at NWPC on Ina & Oracle (NW Side).
